Westwood Elementary School is located in the Santa Clara Unified School District (SCUSD).  It was established in 1957, and parent-involvement has always been a wonderful part of our school culture.  In 1961, the parents of Westwood planted a forest of native Californian trees and shrubs. The forest, like our school, is uniquely beautiful and still thriving today! Our campus also boasts beautiful school garden boxes, and themed flags.

Westwood has a total of nineteen self-contained classrooms and currently is home to students from preschool through fifth grade.  Twelve of our classrooms support a learning environment of 26:1 ratio (grades K-3), and six classrooms support a learning environment of 28:1 ratio (grades 4 and 5). In addition, there is one SAI classroom (K/1), a speech therapy room, a multi-purpose auditorium, a library, and two computer labs.

Westwood is also the home to a preschool special education program. Preschoolers who live in the Westwood community are offered the opportunity to attend this preschool as a "role model".

Please contact Jennifer Carmona at 408-423-2275 for more details.

Many of our parents work within, or slightly outside, of Silicon Valley.  To meet the needs of these working families, Westwood also offers an onsite, before-school and after-school daycare program.
